On this 1-day tour, we will visit Banteay Chhmar temple. The Banteay Chhmar complex consists of a series of towers and courtyards that date back to the late 12th century. The Banteay Chhmar temple is one of the most important archaeological sites in Cambodia. It was built during the reign of King Jayavarman VII and served as a Buddhist monastery. The main temple is a large structure with five towers, and it is surrounded by a moat. There are also several smaller temples and shrines on the site, as well as an extensive system of canals and reservoirs.
The temple has been extensively damaged by looting and war, but it has been partially restored and is now open to the public. Today, Banteay Chhmar is a popular tourist destination, and it is one of the most important historical sites in Cambodia.

What to Wear
You won’t be allowed entrance to the temples unless you are wearing clothes which cover your entire thighs and shoulders. Revealing clothes are not allowed inside the temple grounds. Wear light and loose-fitting clothes to help and keep you cool during the hot afternoons. You should also bring a raincoat in the rainy season as rain can break out at any time.
